FAQ

How do I claim land?

Do /claimhelp in Minecraft or Discord for a brief rundown. Essentially, claiming can either be done with /claim or by using the claim tools you get from doing /kit claim. Once you have claimed land you can do many different commands to modify it including /claimflag or /claiminfo. There are many claim commands and descriptions of all of them are in /help. You can remove the claim you are standing in by running /abandonclaim.

How does the economy work?

The economy is entirely player driven besides diamonds which sell for $100. You can sell diamonds by doing /sell hand while holding them. You can also buy diamonds back from the server by clicking the signs at /market. We have a few methods in which players can sell things to other players, those being /ah, chest shops, and claim selling. The auction house is for selling small amounts of items by doing /ah sell <amount> while holding the item. Chest shops can be made anywhere by following the guide in /shophelp. Claims can be put up for sale following the guide in /claimsellhelp.

Why doesn't the server have this command/feature?

Some features you may find on other servers, but are not on this server are /tpr, mods, and custom items. We are mostly Vanilla and most of the features on the server are in the spirit of vanilla. We do take suggestions and you can make a suggestion in the suggestions-problems channel of the discord. The server runs on paper and we have no intention of moving server software at this moment. Paper is stable and supports the most amount of playstyles and features. We do not have Bedrock support due to the issues with it and staff's unfamiliarity with it.

How do I contact staff/appeal punishments?

Please join the Discord server and open a ticket in the tickets channel.

If you spot any issues/bugs, please report them in the #suggestions-problems channel. For other inquiries, please contact @go_ing directly on Discord.

Finally, to appeal a moderation decision, please open a "Moderation Dispute" ticket in the tickets channel.

The mods that aren't allowed include hacked clients, baritone, xray and other cheats. Autoclickers are allowed for use in farms and macros are allowed as well for the same reason. Freecam is allowed.

What plugins are on the server?

We don't have a public list of plugins due to multiple reasons including security, however, when appropriate staff may discuss certain plugins with the community. /help explains all the commands on the server which explains most of the features.

Who has the Dragon Egg?

A player who played at the start of the server got the original dragon egg and still has it although they no longer play. A second and final dragon egg was given as a prize for the Easter Egg hunt event. If you get the "Free The End" advancement you will automatically get the "Next Generation" advancement.

What happened to Union SMP?

Union SMP was deleted on June 29th 2023 due to personal reasons affecting the server owner. This was right before the anticipated server update to 1.20 which motivated the creation of this server by its players. More info about why the server was deleted can be found at the link here. The link to the latest backup we have can be found here. Reunion SMP is unaffiliated with the staff of the former Union SMP and Salc1.

Claims are eligible for removal if ALL of the following conditions are met:

When a claim is requested under this rule, it will always be removed unless a player trusted to it wants it. In that case it is transferred. You can request a claim to be removed with /claimrequest <reason> command.
